What's the best massage for skiers and other active individuals? We think it's a Thai massage. At our hip, Asian-infused day spa, Thai massage is one of our cornerstone offerings. You can see a Thai massage video at the bottom of this page.
Here's how Thai massage is different.
- Your massage therapist works with you on a comfortable padded mat on the floor, not a massage table.
- Thai massage involves both acupressure and a lot of stretching. For skiers and weekend warriors, this really helps.
- You wear comfortable, loose clothing and no oil is used during the massage. We provide clothes you can change into.
- Your specially-trained therapist will work with you through over 100 different sequences done in a special order.
- You actively participate in this massage on certain stretches. See the photos where the massage therapist and the guest are holding wrists and arms.
- Your Steamboat massage therapist uses her hands, knees, legs a
nd feet in a series of yoga type stretches and poses.
