There are a lot of things to do in Steamboat over Thanksgiving weekend. Here's our list of the 5 best things to do this weekend:
- Go Skiing or Boarding. The Mountain officially opens this Wednesday, November 25 with Scholarship Day benefiting the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club (SSWSC). The mountain will continue to be open every day until it closes in mid-April.
- Go the Strawberry Park Hot Springs. A little out of town, but a favorite for locals and visitors alike, the natural hot springs are a real treat for the entire family. And for those a little more adventurous, it's clothing optional after dark. No kidding.
- Get a Thai Massage at Steamboat Hottest New Day Spa. All Season Wellness recently opened their doors at 1120 S. Lincoln Ave. between the mountain and downtown, next to McDonald's Try a top-rated Thai massage for a hip, Far East experience in the middle of the wild west.
- Go to the Ghost Ranch Saloon for some live Music. The recently opened Ghost Ranch Saloon has what's been missing in Steamboat for some time -- a large music venue that attracts top name bands that was designed from the ground up just for music. The sound quality and vibe is outstanding.
- Take a hike up Spring Creek Trail. Even in the winter, the Spring Creek trail is an excellent choice, as you hike along a natural creek in the middle of nature. You'll find you're look of nature renewed as you get a nice workout, too. It's great for families, runners and for people with dogs
Those are top five for Thanksgiving weekend, and for that matter, any weekend that you're in Steamboat. Come up this weekend and enjoy a getaway from the hustle and bustle of urban living.
